Occupational Health can assess new starters to confirm fitness for certain roles, and to advise if an employee may need adjustments because of an underlying health condition.
In many cases, we assess new starters through an online questionnaire, only following up with a telephone call where a declared health condition requires further assessment. In some cases a face to face assessment may be required (e.g. to perform a baseline hearing test for noise-exposed roles). We will always review the types of role in your business and set up a bespoke process to meet your requirements.
Undertaking new starter health clearance through an occupational health service protects medical confidentiality for the employee, and ensures management receives clear and relevant advice.
